Invasive species represent a problem for many ecosystems in places where they are introduced. There are some incredibly delicious invasive species out there, such as the lionfish, asian carp, and feral boar. Jackson Landers has even written a book on how to hunt for these animal aliens, aptly called Eating Aliens: One Man’s Adventures Hunting Invasive Animal Species. Landers was born into a vegetarian household and never tasted a cheeseburger until age ten. As an animal lover, his desire to avoid factory-farmed meat led him to take up hunting as an adult.
The book aptly informs the braver of foodies how to go out and source their meet, from a plentiful supply, themselves. Landers shows that good, ethical meat requires nothing but a hunting license, some equipment and a population of edible aliens waiting to be suppressed.
